Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.
Our Tame Valley Academy School Councillors for 2017 – 2018 are:
Year 6 – Busayo and Phoebe
Year 5 – Kourtnie and Destiny
Year 4 – Arzoo and Claudio
Year 3 – Igor and Scarlett
Year 2 – Adija and Kacey
Year 1 – Miah and Jayda
They were democratically elected by their classmates during elections which were held on 18th September 2017.
How it Works
Our School Council meet every fortnight to discuss ways to improve our school. We have a different agenda for each meeting, which is set two weeks in advance. This gives the councillors time to discuss the issues with their classes before the meeting. They bring their notes and feedback from their classes to the School Council. Councillors then work together to decide on actions which will improve the school and make it a better place for all.
Priorities/Agenda Items for 2017 - 2018
- Raising the profile of the LGB around school
- Increasing the School Council's contributions to driving school improvement
- Developing further links with the local community
